The party awoke for an early breakfast at The Shepard's Den, and headed over to The Gallant Stag to see Alton Halacantor about getting some horses. They struck a deal, and the four wasted little time heading out for the Town of Seadale.
Arriving at the Southern Gate just after dusk, the hardy group was met with a less-than-hospitable Gate Commander. Denied entrance into the Town until after dawn, the adventurers camped just off the road for the night.
Stabling their horses at the Lucky Paladin Stables, our heroes began searching the taverns and inns looking for Sir Drakheim. They finally found him in the Festive Maiden, and enlisted his help in their mission to return to the dungeon and rid Seadale of any Banite Cultists.
The unlikely band of adventurers returned to Starpoint as quickly as possible, returning their horses to The Gallant Stag and purchasing needed supplies before their return to the dungeon.
Returning to the site of the dungeon entrance, our heroes discover nothing but a blasted crater in the field. At least we now know what that explosion was. An extended search pattern of the area led our band to uncover another entrance cloaked among the roots of a gnarled old tree. The staircase inside the tunnel looked as if it had been unused for quite some time, but it was the only hope our heroes had of getting to the bottom of this mystery.
Following the tunnel down what seemed to be two levels, the companions entered a room with a hobgoblin working in the far corner... However, before anyone could react, the Paladin charged across the room screaming "EEEEVVVIIIIIILLLLLL!" as he went. He proceeded to cleave the little bugger in half.
Branching out from the entrance, the party began their exploration of this level of the dungeon, finding two empty rooms and what appeared to be an abandoned alchemist's lab (the void of a recent human touch was not surprising considering the gigantic scortch mark in the center of the room).
